I read this book in exchange for an honest review. Wow! My Husband’s Wives was a really good book! Paul Starr had a first, second, and third wife, although it turns out that only the first marriage was legal and he never divorced her. The ladies all meet when Paul dies and they also meet Kasia, the girl who was in the car when Paul got in his fatal accident. Their lives become entangled and it turns out that the best gift Paul ever gave them was leading them to each other.This was such an interesting premise for a book. I loved each of the four ladies- they were different, but all had a love for Paul Starr. Evie is Paul’s older, first wife who regrets that she was never able to give him children. Evie feels that her life is over when Paul dies. Grace is Paul’s second wife. She’s a famous painter and birthed Paul’s daughter, Delilah. She doubts Paul’s love for her when she finds out he’s still married to his first wife. Annalise is Paul’s third wife. She is a former Miss Ireland, an aspiring model, and the mother of Paul’s two sons. Annalise has always allowed other people to take the reins of her life and she now has to learn to stand on her own two feet. Paul met Kasia while volunteering overseas and helped her to come to America. Kasia has an abusive boyfriend and just discovered she is pregnant.

I loved the bond that these ladies grew to have. I loved seeing their characters’ develop as the story continued. This book even had a twist I didn’t expect! There were some exciting events that definitely kept my interest.

I have two small criticisms of the book. First, it bugged me that Annalise called her mom by her first name because she was adopted. It really didn’t make any sense because she was adopted as a baby. I also felt like the characters’ didn’t show as much surprise/confusion at finding out about each other as I expected. They never even tried to find marriage certificates or look at Evie’s. These are small parts of the book overall, but I thought I’d mention them.

This was a very interesting story with some awesome characters! I enjoyed reading it very much!
